Why Is Maintenance Important
For Your Water Feature?
Like most things in life, they require maintenance. A water feature is no different. When we build or inherit a water feature we do our best to replicate the way they are shaped in nature. Not only do this when we build but we also maintain the way nature maintains.
Every spring we have something called a snow melt with a ton of rain. As this water rushes through the streams and rivers it pushes all the dirt, debris, fish waste and leaves out. This is what we are doing with our spring cleaning. Without the spring cleaning nutrient levels in the pond will rise and feed unwanted algae and other harmful bacterias.

Exploratory cleanouts allow us to do a very detailed spring cleanout. What this means is we do a cleanout of the pond top to bottom, learn all the ins and outs of your pond. We also diagnose any issues you might have and offer solutions to the issue. We share all that information about the pond with you, the client, and give you a list of improvements that might be made or suggested.
Exploratory cleanouts will be priced as time and material and we can provide rough estimates over email if the following questions are answered.
What type of water feature do you have? (pond, pondless waterfall, fountain)
What are the dimensions of your water feature?
How long have you owned your water feature?
What are your usual maintenance practices?
Do you have any leaks that you are aware of?
Where is your pump located in the pond?
Could you send 2-3 photos of your pond?
Once your water feature is evaluated and in good condition we can sign you up for one of our maintenance packages.
