WOODLAND WATERFALL

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

A poorly built pond had resulted in lots of maintenance and a safety hazard for Lynn and Nick. Avid gardeners, they loved the idea of water in their yard but what they had didn’t quite cut it. When talking with Lynn we decided it was best to install a pondless waterfall. We came in and removed the pond, backfilled and started from scratch. We installed a 6’ long stream and waterfall that looks like it's always been there! We integrated several pieces of driftwood into the design including an awesome stump. Our biggest challenge on this project was our access into the backyard; there was no machine access so all the material had to be carted or wheelbarrowed into the back up several flights of stairs and finally off the back deck. We brought in over 8000 lbs of stone and 6 yards of soil by hand. Talk about a feat! While tiring, it was well worth the final results!
